FPT hydraulic system for the project of the new Vivienne Westwood’s Atelier in Paris.

Pull hydraulic cylinders and pumps





Vivienne Westwood opens its first single-brand store in Paris and the first in France. Located in Rue Saint-Honoré 175, the store – designed by the architect Simona Franci, design director and partner of Fortebis Group – consist of more than 110 square meters spread over two floors and inaugurates a new concept that reflects the brand’s DNA. Using a mix of sustainable and natural materials such as resin, iron and wood, furnishings are inspired by raw industrial simplicity.

FPT – Fluid Power Technology participated in the project by supplying high pressure equipment and the pull hydraulic cylinders used in structural carpentry works including:

– Single acting pull hydraulic cylinders of 60 tons and 150 mm stroke, with eyelets

– High pressure hydraulic pump, 700 bar, single phase for simultaneous operation of the two hydraulic cylinders

– Very high pressure system and hoses for the creation of the correct hydraulic circuit

FPT has followed the customer in the development and design phases of the most suitable hydraulic system for the realization. The pulling jacks can be chosen from a wide range that starts at 30 tons with different strokes based on the individual needs of the job site. The pull hydraulic cylinders used work in traction and are suitable for all operations where it is necessary to apply a force in traction. Used for structural tests in the laboratory, in civil engineering, in the approach and welding of heavy carpentry in general. FPT can also design and produce custom made hydraulic jacks on customer request if there are special needs. Possibility to design and produce custom made hydraulic cylinders on request, with dedicated geometries, performances and features. All models can be connected to different drive units such as hand pumps or electric, air, petrol pumps. A wide range of accessories such as hoses, valves and pressure gauges are available for the composition of the desired hydraulic circuit.
