FPT Fluid Power Technology Production: our strength

FPT Fluid Power Technology production follow the below manufacturing cycle of machining done 100% in the FPT plant facility.

Purchase of raw materials, such as: structural steel, stainless steel, special steel, bronze, aluminium,plates, forged metal, extruded metal, metal pressings and plastic materials;
Processing of purchased materials by means of chip removing machines, turning, milling, grinding,bending and welding machines as well as heat and protection treatments;
Forwarding of semi-finished or finished materials for outsourced processing like chrome plating,zinc-coating, phosphating, nitriding, burnishing, quenching, etc.;
Possible assembly of products made from other products purchased on the marketplace such asgaskets, bearings, bolts and screws;
Assessment of finished products compliance with the required technical specifications;
When requested: in-house testing or testing carried out by independent certification bodies, such as The Italian Register of Shipping RINA (Registro Italiano Navale S.p.A.);
Packing and sending of products.

FPT Fluid Power Technology production - Supply of material

The major suppliers of raw materials and specific metallurgical of our society are national and European steel mills.

The material mainly bought is low alloy steels, carbon steels, stainless quenched and tempered steel, stainless steel series aisi300 and asi400. In addition, we also supply non-ferrous materials such as aluminum, bronze and bronze aluminum. All material purchased is carefully selected and supplied with 3.1 certification directly from major steel mills.

Machines fleet and manufacturing

FPT – Fluid Power Technology has equipment and machine tools with numerical control CNC capable of meeting the requirements of accuracy and quality required by the market.

Among the machines in our workshop, we have:
machining centers 5-axis and 3-axis vertical milling machine, CNC lathes at 3 and 2 axes, milling, grinding, heat treatment furnaces and machines of various equipment, drills, saws, grinders, grinding machines, wheel balancers.

Mounting of the components and final assembly

All products are entirely manufactured and assembled by FPT – Fluid Power Technology in our factory and follow a process of:

• mechanical processing of materials;
• treatment of finished or semi-finished material such as chromium, zinc, phosphate, nitrating, Browning, hardening etc..;
• mounting of all parts;
• test of the finished products.
